“A greater impact than Tiger Woods on minority community,” Howard University women’s golf coach commends Stephen Curry’s charitable activity
Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry’s greatness isn’t just limited to the NBA hardwood where he is capable of drilling three-pointers and jumpers from anywhere and anytime. He also loves to be on the greens and enjoy golf with great swings. During the off-season, Stephen Curry also participates, wins and makes history in various celebrity golf tournaments. He also has the potential to turn professional and compete. Perhaps, we may see Curry doing that after he is done balling and cooking the league.
Recently, Stephen Curry won his fourth NBA title and first ever Finals MVP award. Since then, he is having a blast in the off-season. As the greatest shooter of all-time, he really has nothing left to prove. While enjoying his time out there Stephen Curry hasn’t forgotten about the community. He is always seen giving back to it in some way or the other.
Stephen Curry recently made it to the cover page of Rolling Stone as he is putting it all on the line. He in his interview with Rolling Stone’s Matt Sullivan talked about his future goals both on and off the court, his history with ex-president Donald Trump, NBA Titles, the influence he wants to have on society, Golf and several other things too.
Stephen Curry’s foundations, donations and charities were also mentioned in the interview. He is a selfless man who has never showed away from helping the needy ones. The Chef funds several colleges and organizations for the welfare of the young generation and society at large. Curry also funded the rebirth of the women’s Golf Team at Howard University for which his coaches thanked him.
Sam Puryear, the coach of Howard University’s Women’s Golf Team, while talking about Stephen Curry’s $1 million plus funding was quoted: “Stephen’s impact is greater than Tiger Woods’ impact in the minority community.” The way he has been rolling around and helping others there’s no wrong in saying that. His impact and influence are really a lot more than what an athlete has.
Stephen Curry also runs his own foundation which goes by the name of “Eat. Learn. Play.” And they are committed to unlocking the amazing potential of every child they can. The Chef also hosts several basketball camps for the younger generation, gives away scholarships and has recently launched a program for Golf too. So, he really has an impact out there which will be irreplaceable. With the season being around he and the Dubs are ready to defend their title and win it all over again. He mentioned this in an interview with Rolling Stone.
Can Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors defend their title?
Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors can surely defend their title and register another one to their name. This time, the road isn’t going to be easy as they have lost some good, key, bench players. They had played a superb role while being in rotation last season. And the western conference has also got a lot tougher this year with stars and superstars returning back to perfect health and shape.
Since they have their legendary trio of Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and the Greatest Shooter of All-Time they can pull out anything and could shock the world again. The Warriors will also have some great size on their roster this year as Kevon Looney looks perfect and they have James Wiseman back and healthy. Some new pick and roll plays can be expected by the team in a new system with the Chef doing what he does, shooting over the heads of his rivals.
