The feud between Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan is one of the longest and most bitter in NBA history. Neither of them seems willing to bury the hatchet, even decades after their playing careers ended.

Thomas, who was a star point guard for the Detroit Pistons, recently took a shot at Jordan on the Cedric Maxwell podcast, where he discussed how he matched up with the Chicago Bulls legend during their NBA days. “Every time you hit him, he was crying…Going to David Stern’s office, going to the Commissioner’s office, having a meeting about getting hit, getting fouled, you gotta change the rules,” Thomas said.

According to him, after every game he was fouled, Jordan went to the authorities complaining about the physicality of the game.

He continued, “I’m like, ‘Wait a minute. I watched Dr. J get beat up. I watched Magic get beat up. I watched Max get beat up. I watched Bird get beat up. I done got beat up. Everybody get beat up but wait a minute. Now we gotta change the rules because he get hit.” Talking about how players have always been hit while playing games, he is confused about why Jordan complained when nobody else did.

The games between these two games were famous for their brutality, which was only increased with the conglomeration of “The Bad Boys” at the Pistons. The Pistons were famous for not letting the Bulls slide past them and for hurting the players whenever they had a matchup.

The Netflix Documentary – The Last Dance, which showcases the journey and struggle of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, featured a quote by Jordan regarding Pistons. While admitting that the Pistons were physically stronger than the Bulls, he said, “They made it personal…They physically beat the s**t out of us.”

In the documentary, Jodan can be seen building a buff body to tackle the physicality in Pistons’ game. The Bulls defeated the Pistons in the 1991 Eastern Conference, often attributed to the Bulls team bulking up to tackle Pistons’ physicality as the two-time winning champion continues to talk trash about the six-time winning championship.
