“Stop lying…tell the truth man” Isiah Thomas reignites beef with Michael Jordan by calling him out as a ‘LIAR’

Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas never really got along well. There was no love between them, despite the fact that you could see images of them conversing and even laughing on the court. Many people were curious as to why and when things between these two went south, and Jordan clarified it in an earlier interview. Everyone is aware of how Jordan felt about losing. The Bulls and Pistons were always vying for the title of Eastern Conference champion where  Isiah defeated Jordan twice before MJ possibly thoroughly dominated him for the following ten years.

The Inquisitr recently released an article documenting the MJ-Thomas feud’s beginning, basing its narrative on comments Jordan made to Playboy magazine during an interview in 1992. On Thursday, Isiah Thomas used Twitter to reply to the Inquisitr piece, denying Jordan’s assertions about how their feud began.

The long running beef of Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan

Isiah Thomas of the Detroit Pistons and Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls have had a rocky relationship dating back to the 1980s, and it is still there today. The history of his relationship with Thomas was told by Michael Jordan himself. Jordan says that the 1985 NBA All-Star Game is where the tale begins. The animosity gained prominence after Jordan’s ESPN documentary “The Last Dance,” in which Thomas and Jordan argued about Thomas’s exclusion from the gold-medal winning 1992 Olympic “Dream Team,” went viral.

The former great of the Pistons hasn’t exactly been the most vocal about his opinion that Jordan is the best player in league history. In addition to saying that he thinks Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the GOAT, he has also said that LeBron James may have the upper hand in the debate. The Last Dance documentary showed that, more than 30 years later, the former Bulls star hasn’t let go of his contempt for Thomas and the Pistons. The two-time NBA champion said last year that he has no resentment or anger despite all of that.

On the court, the two legends had engaged in some epic battle. However, the conflict has spread to their personal lives away from the NBA. Jordan’s accusations concerning the 1985 All-Star game have sparked a new round of bitterness between Isiah and Jordan. Isiah Thomas is quite outspoken when it comes to his opinions of the NBA as it is now. He no longer frequently expresses his opinions on matters involving Michael Jordan, though. However, he may have chosen to declare today an exception if he had a rule against it.

Given that Mike doesn’t use social media, it’s doubtful that we will see him respond to Thomas. Even so, it’s possible that he will always use the right to reply to the two-time NBA champion. Jordan is a reserved individual who avoids getting into online debates. It seems reasonable for Isiah to set the record straight now that these statements have been brought back. The greatness of “His Airness” has perhaps eclipsed the Detroit Pistons legend.
