“Until I get a public apology, this beef is gonna go on for a long time” Isiah Thomas reignites his feud with ‘A**HOLE’ Michael Jordan for his portrayal in ‘The Last Dance’

Former NBA player Isiah Thomas went all guns blazing against his fellow NBA counterpart and legend Michael Jordan. Isiah’s character was a part of Jordan’s documentary ‘The Last Dance.’ However, he was not happy the way it was portrayed in the film and the comments that were made on him.

Isiah Thomas opened up for the first time, after watching the film, to Greek NBA rights holder ‘COSMOTE TV’ during the Abu Dhabi NBA games earlier in October. He quoted, “When I was watching ‘The Last Dance,’ I’m sitting there, and I’m watching it with my family, and I’m thinking everything is good. And then this guy comes on television, and he says that he hates me, and then he calls me an a**hole.”

Isiah added, “And then I proceed to watch a whole documentary about him being an a**hole. I’m like wait a minute, time out. Until I get a public apology, this beef is gonna go on for a long long time, cause I’m from the west side of Chicago.” The documentary film consists of Jordan’s life-long achievements and notable moments, especially around his time in the league with Chicago Bulls.

The NBA players had a sour relationship since their playing days for the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons, respectively. The beef between Jordan and Thomas started in 1991 when the Pistons point guard and his teammates walked off the court with 7.9 seconds remaining on the clock without shaking hands with the Bulls team. This incidence also takes up a considerable amount of Jordan’s documentary film.

‘His Airness’ lost three times to Detroit and that too in crucial moments before winning six NBA championships in eight years. The three losses came during the second round of the 1988 playoffs, the 1989 Eastern Conference Finals, and the 1990 Eastern Conference Finals.

In the documentary, Jordan explains that he used the Pistons’ tactics as a source of motivation to add strength and to change his game as he further progressed in his career. As a result of his hard work and determination, the Bulls swept the Pistons in 1991 before eventually claiming their first ring as they defeated Magic Johnson’s Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals. Michael Jordan is yet to get back to Isiah’s comments and everyone will be eager to know what he has to say.
