The Memphis Grizzlies and Ja Morant are renowned for exuding confidence and not backing down from any difficulties. They will have the opportunity to exact revenge on the Warriors, who ousted them from last year’s playoffs. As on Christmas they’ll be battling against each other. Malika Andrews of ESPN got the opportunity to sit down and speak with one of the league’s most promising young players, Ja. Morant has some optimistic reasons about his matchup against the Warriors on Christmas Day.

When questioned about the most-awaited, interesting and important match-up Ja Morant replied: “Obviously, it’s the team that kicked us out of the playoffs, so, you know, we always want to get our lick back. Everybody knows what Golden State means to the game of basketball, you know… They are the defending champs.”

The two squads’ showdown is certain to be exciting and competitive. Stephen Curry, the Warriors’ (who are currently 15-18) leader, will be sidelined for at least two weeks due to a labral injury to his left shoulder. Even so, Golden State still has Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson to help out until his comeback. These are the players who can score 40 points in a row. Unfortunately, there isn’t much hope for what they’ll do for beating the Grizzlies on Christmas and how can they get back to playing winning basketball without Curry.

Ja Morant once again demonstrated his self-assurance in his abilities in this excerpt from the same interview. Only the Boston Celtics were mentioned by Morant when asked which teams he believes pose a danger. When asked by Malika Andrews which Western Conference teams concerned him in reaction to that statement, he stated that his Memphis Grizzlies (19-11) were the only side that posed a threat.

Stephen Curry is struggling with a brand-new injury, so the Warriors star is taking precautions when it comes to his recuperation. During Tuesday’s TNT broadcast of Golden State’s 132-94 defeat to the New York Knicks, Curry gave viewers an update on his left shoulder subluxation from last week’s game against the Indiana Pacers.

“This is an interesting one just because I haven’t had an injury like this to the shoulder. So it’s kind of a wait-and-see approach,” Curry said from the sideline. The Warriors have lost two of their previous three games without Curry and are now on a 1-4 road trip.

There is no specific timeframe for his comeback. It is anticipated that he will be sidelined for at least a few weeks due to injury. And it’s safe to say that Golden State needs its superstar back as soon as possible in order to successfully defend its NBA Title.
