“I apologize and pray after” Ja Morant shows gratitude to Jesus Christ after posterising players

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant is known for his slam dunks, acrobatical moves and flashy plays, especially those went viral last season. Recently, he was talking on an episode of ‘The Pivot’ podcast where he shared his thoughts on his dunks and that he loves to dominate his defenders.

The podcast host Channing Chowder asked Morant, “Are you ever considered with who’s under that rim?” to which Ja Morant replied, “Nah. Straight like that. I apologize and pray after. I don’t want him [Jesus] to send me downstairs.” Morant even revealed that he has no idea who is the last defender he faces after the match is over. His only focus is to take his team over the line.

Ja Morant is known for his electrifying slam dunks, and the fiery game plays. His dunk on San Antonio Spurs’ Jakob Poeltl caused a hullabaloo in the match, where we scored 52 points to lead his team to victory. Another one of his most talked about slam dunk is on Minnesota Timberwolves’ Malik Beasley, wherein he charged at him with 15 seconds left in the third quarter.

Ja Morant states he has earned more critics than fans

After having a successful 2021-2022 season, Ja Morant feels he is on the right path toward creating his legacy. On his way, he earned a lot of fan following but also has gained some critics and denigrators. He said that some people lashed at him even after having a breakout season, and he states that he is fine even if he has more critics in the coming times.

Morant feels that people are annoyed with him because of his performance and winning attitude rather than his funny behavior off the court. He said, “Just because I’m me and I speak on whatever I want to and say what I’m feeling at the time that some people don’t like me.
