According to ESPN reporter Ohm Youngmisuk in his recent TV appearance, the New York Knicks‘ star guard Jalen Brunson once rejected a jersey-signing offer from NBA legend Michael Jordan. The incident happened during Jordan’s time with the Washington Wizards.

Youngmisuk reported that at just five years old, Brunson declined the opportunity, explaining that he didn’t know who Jordan was and feared the signature would “ruin the jersey.” During an episode of NBA Today, Youngmisuk shared a memory from his past work. He recalled writing an article where he interviewed current NBA stars about their first encounters with Jordan.
