Houston Rockets star Jalen Green is just 21 years old. He is playing in his third season after being drafted as the second overall pick in 2021. He was viewed as the next superstar in the league. So far, he has not reached those levels. But something caught the eye of basketball fans today which has them questioning his focus.
Green was seen leaving the Rockets arena along with his actress-model girlfriend, Draya Michele. But some keen-eyed fans noticed something particular about Michele that has since gone viral on social media.
The video, captured by user name Monica, clearly shows Michele sporting a baby bump. What surprised fans is that Michele is 18 years older than Green. She is already a mother of two children. So to be pregnant with the child of a very young athlete who has yet to justify his second overall draft selection did not sit well with fans.
Jalen Green is in his third year in the league. He came close to justifying his draft selection last season with almost all-star-level production. This year he has regressed so far. Putting up numbers similar to his rookie season has not helped his cause. Rockets fans in particular have been disappointed with his play this season. He was touted as one of the best high school players to come to the NBA via the G League.
What has not helped his cause is that fellow 2021 draftee Alperen Sengun is having an All-Star level year. Add to that, the plethora of options the Rockets have at their disposal. The Rockets have drafted some of the best prospects since the 2021 draft. So Green does not have the requisite time on his hands.
Fans are not happy with Jalen Green’s choices in life
Green’s life choices have come as a surprise for basketball fans. Rather than focus on his basketball career, he has shown that his personal life needs more importance. Or that is what fans feel after watching Michele sporting the baby bump. More than four million people have watched the videos.

Next year is the last of his rookie deal. After that, if Green has to earn a big payday, he will have to showcase to the league now, that he deserves it. Losing focus on the actual job at hand is not the way a 21-year-old should look at it.
