The Denver Nuggets delivered a decisive blow to the Los Angeles Lakers, cleanly sweeping them out of the playoffs.  The Nuggets sealed their victory in Game 4 with a commanding 113-11 score, propelled by Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic’s remarkable performance. With this triumph, the Nuggets secure their spot in the NBA Finals, eagerly anticipating a showdown against the victor of the Miami Heat versus Boston Celtics series. After securing the #1 seed in the regular season and dominating through the playoffs, the confidence in players runs high.

Jamal Murray is strikingly displaying these signs of confidence, which runs at an all-time high for him. After being the star of the show against the Lakers alongside Jokic, Murray has earned the trust of fans. This trust has led to certain comparisons that the player might not have faced before, one being with Kobe Bryant.

Yes, Jamal Murray was compared with Kobe Bryant for some of his characteristics. Murray, on a show, was asked, “Some people have compared you to Kobe saying that you have the same killer instinct. How do you feel about that comparison?” Murray was candid in his answer. He said, “I agree… I agree.”

Murray then added, “I think we both have the same confidence. We both have the same belief in our work. He doesn’t doubt it, he doesn’t go into the game feeling scared about what he’s got. That’s the same as me. I put so much work in my game that I should be confident when I step on the court.” Murray finally concluded by saying, “I think we carry the same kind of attributes.”

The Denver Nuggets have stood by every single word spoken by their Head Coach, Mike Malone. A team that cruised past its opponents to occupy the #1 seed has maintained the same momentum in the playoffs. The Denver Nuggets have dominated their rivals in the first, second, and third rounds of the playoffs.

Jamal Murray has averaged 27.7 PPG, 5.5 RPG, and 6.1 APG for the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs. Firstly it was the Timberwolves, then the Suns, and eventually the Lakers who faced the wrath of his performance. Under the leadership of Murray and Jokic, the team only got better. They first defeated the Timberwolves 4-1, then defeated the Suns by 4-2 and finally cleanly swept the Lakers.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Nuggets perform in the Finals against the winner of the series between the Celtics and the Heat. Stay tuned for more updates!
