Jamal Murray isn’t the best guard in the league. But he is surely one of the best guards out there. He has a deep bag of skills that allow him to clown his opponents on the offensive end, as he can drill buckets from the perimeter and even downtown. Jamal Murray also has one of the best layup packages in the league. And even LeBron James knows it, as in the bubble he got to taste a classy layup and now respects the Nuggets’ guard.

But unfortunately, most of his talents and greatness go unnoticed or never make it to the headlines. Jamal Murray is balling out for a small market team. And, unfortunately, for most of his career, he has been doubted by the fans and slept upon by the league. Jamal Murray’s godly performance in the bubble failed to earn him the respect he deserves. But not being a quitter, he’s back after battling injuries and is now speaking for himself.

Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets have made it to the Western Conference Finals and are up 2-0 against the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers. After the Game 2 dub at 108-103, Jamal Murray, who dropped 37 points, 5 rebounds, and 10 assists in the head-to-head battle, went on to demand some respect from the fans. As he quoted, “I don’t think I get as much respect as I should. I’m better than a lot of players in the league.”

Jamal Murray isn’t wrong when he says that. He really is better than a lot of players in the league, but unfortunately, he has yet to receive the recognition he deserves. Also, his statement is backed by his stats. From averaging 20 points, 4 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1 steal, and 0.2 blocks throughout the regular season. He has now averaged 27.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.6 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game in the post-season so far.

But unfortunately, Jamal Murray isn’t getting his flowers, and he had to speak for himself. The story for the Denver Nuggets is the same too. But the internet isn’t really on board with his claim and has mixed reactions to offer.

Jamal Murray’s claim has divided the internet. As many on Twitter are riding with him. But many also felt annoyed and irritated with his claim. The sides are doing their job as rivals. As they show either love or hate and doubt to the Nuggets guard who is yet to win a championship and prove himself.

Jamal Murray has done the talking, and now it’s time for him to back it up. He and the Nuggets are just two wins away from reaching the 2023 NBA Finals. and having a real shot at the title. But the road is tough as they have LeBron James and the Anthony Davis-led Los Angeles Lakers as their opponents. And the next two games will be played at Crypto.com Arena, where the Los Angeles-based team is undefeated so far in the postseason. So it’s time for Jamal Murray to be consistent and put in the work by carrying the Nuggets ahead, or the internet won’t go any easier on him.
