James Harden isn’t just known for owning his rivals in the league and shooting unreal step-back three-pointers over their head. As he isn’t just limited to playing basketball but is also a Hip-Hop head. And, he really enjoys music as his pre-game stories, celebrations and the partying habit he has are loud enough to speak for themselves. James Harden is also an influential media personality when it comes to the rap culture as he is often seen hanging out with some of the best artists out there like Travis Scott and Lil Baby.
But not many know that James Harden shared a special relationship with Late Nipsey Hussle. They were best friends and even went to the same middle school and stayed the same with each other even after fame and money for decades. But unfortunately, Nipsey Hussle was shot dead in the parking lot of his store in South Los Angeles on March 31, 2019. He was shot at least 10 times and was also kicked in the head by the murderer. This didn’t just shock James Harden but disturbed the whole basketball world too.
As Nipsey Hussle wasn’t just any rapper and his music always represented a reason and he also loved basketball. As you could often find him catching some action from the front row in Los Angeles. He even refurbished a basketball court while partnering with Puma and always brought the culture out in his songs. So it wasn’t just James Harden who felt the loss on a personal level but he surely had a very hard time during those days and the road to move on was really tough for him.
James Harden was really affected by the death of Nipsey Hussle as he was his best mate and all of that was very unexpected. It took him days to get back to life and he even took some days off from the Houston Rockets to get his mind back on the game and stay focused to deliver the best he can. As he wasn’t also in great shape to play the game. Recently, The Beard made it to the NBA headlines as he was remembering his dear friend.

Recently, James Harden remembering Nipsey Hussle posted a photo of his via his personal Twitter handle and wrote: “miss you bro”. It would have been a really sad moment for him as he was watching his mate on T.V with memories hitting back. Now he has a solid chance to win a championship with the Philadelphia 76ers while playing alongside Joel Embiid and he’ll be able to add that to his best friend’s legacy. As nothing is better than an NBA title in the world of basketball.
