James Harden

NBA teams Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers faced each other in the pre-season match. Phila’s recruit James Harden was on the court after missing the first match for his team. Harden looked in superior touch when we attempted to score while Dean Wade was defending him. But Dean Wade fell off his face, and James Harden collected 2 points for his team.

James Harden and Dean Wade

James Harden was seen using some of his old tricks on the court. He charged at Dean Wade when they were one-on-one, and while crossing him over, Wade fell face first into Harden trying to stay with him. It was some vintage Harden to get Wade leaning and hit him with the quick crossover to get his feet tangled up as they go in opposite directions, clipping together and causing him to fall headfirst into Harden as he pulled up for the free throw line jumper shot.

Harden wasn’t pleased with the no-call, as he should’ve gotten a free throw as Wade fouls him with his face slamming into Harden’s arm. This highlight play shows what Harden is trying to get back at this upcoming season. After exiting from the Brooklyn Nets amid lots of chaos, James Harden will be eager to prove his mettle and take his team close to winning the championship. Fans have given many reactions to the video which can be seen below.

Harden was the top scorer in the NBA for three seasons while with Huston Rockets. When he joined the Brooklyn Nets, Harden averaged 23 points over two regular seasons and 20 points in the playoffs. Moving to the Philadelphia 76ers wasn’t expected to drastically boost Harden’s scoring numbers, considering he was going to join the league leader, Joel Embiid. However, Harden’s scoring numbers declined as he averaged 21 points in the regular season and 18 points in the playoffs with the Sixers.

76ers head coach Doc Rivers recently stated that the veteran All-Star’s role is only growing more prominent in Philadelphia, and they continue to have high expectations for the 33-year-old. The star guard claimed that a lingering hamstring injury had affected his approach to the game over the last couple of years. Harden is confident as ever in his ability to bounce back, silence his critics, and have a good run with the 76ers.
