The Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden is again hitting the headlines with his distaste for his current team. The former MVP did not attend the recent practice session with the Sixers. They called for conclusions on whether he wanted to play for the 76ers.

Amidst recent trade talks and Harden’s preference to join the LA Clippers, nothing seems to be conclusive at this point. Although, with the pre-seasons going on in full swing, it’s evident that there are no trade offers yet on the table. Harden is likely to show up for the opening night with the roster.

“James Harden is a no show at Philadelphia 76ers practice today, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium,” Shams Charania reported on X. “Harden has not been present with the team since Sunday.”

The LA Clippers, who were one of the main teams interested in the Harden trade, have reportedly backed out. They do not favor giving an offer to the player in exchange for Terance Mann. Mann was the Sixers’ primary player in trade talks, which currently don’t seem viable. James Harden not showing up to practice made it evident about his intentions. He intends to put more pressure on the Sixers’ management regarding his preferred trade to the LA Clippers.

Philadelphia 76ers head coach comments on James Harden’s absence

The 76ers star James Harden is in the crosshairs regarding his preferred trade to the LA Clippers. Clippers, who reportedly have cleared that they are not interested in giving out an offer to the MVP in exchange for Terrance Mann, have now taken the Harden situation to the next level. With this, James Harden was reported to be absent in the latest Sixers practice. Sixers head coach Nick Nurse in a statement, gave his views about the same.

The head coach for the 76ers, Nick Nurse, after the recent practice session in a media interaction, shared his views on the situation. He said, “Listen, I think I stay with; if he’s here we go, and if he’s not here we go, We got work to do.” Nurse praised his players on the roster on his interaction Wednesday despite Harden’s notable absence.

Nick Nurse added, “From the last discussions that I had with him and from everybody, yeah, it was a little bit [of a surprise],” Nurse added. “I’m still going on what he said the last time we talked to him, that he was getting ready to play Friday, so we’ll see how it goes.”  The trade saga could take some more time before it comes to a conclusion.
