Jason Whitlock has not backed down from his fight against Dave Portnoy. The former Barstool Sports Media CEO has been one of the biggest commentators in modern popular culture and the sports industry. His personality however has gained highly questionable remarks on it due to his controversial behaviour.
The icon have been caught several times for breaking the law and has been arrested for the same. This is not where it ends, he has also been involved in multiple allegations pertaining to sexism and racism. People have not had the best impression of him and see him as a person with toxic masculinity traits.
Jason Whitlock slams Dave Portnoy for monetizing himself through “fake” attitude
To add on to his argument of exposing Dave Portnoy, the former Fox Sports Journalist made several accusations claiming that the icon is a complete fraud who falsely portrays himself in order to get fame and money in return. Jason Whitlock said, “Dave Portnoy is a sellout. He has no interest in bringing people together. His interests are in lining his pockets. I’d have no problem if he’d just admit it. He’s white LeBron James. It’s great Portnoy raised money for small businesses. It’s great LeBron spent a million dollars on a school in Akron.”
“It’s good marketing, it’s terrific public relations. It creates the appearance that Portnoy and LeBron haven’t forgotten the little guy. The best thing you could do to support the working men and women is defend the Constitution. The document isn’t remotely outdated. It created the freedom and opportunity that we all benefit from 200 years after its ratification. Dave Portnoy benefited from our Constitution. Now that’s he’s made rich, he’s good with rewriting rules regulations and systems that’s allowed him to rise.”
Whitlock had also made several accusations against LeBron James in the mix saying that the King had also done the same by feeding off the Constitution to build himself. Earlier, Whitlock and Portnoy were in a back a forth Twitter confrontation where the former reporter claimed to have been a supporter of the latter but lost respect for him. The American commentator further insulted the reporter using sexist remarks and highlighting his weight. Ever since releasing a statement on the issue, Portnoy has not spoken out.
