“You guys let me down” Jaylen Brown gets upset as Celtics caused dumbest turnover in clutch time
Jaylen Brown frustrated with Celtics turnovers
Boston Celtics were on the verge of suffering via a brutal defeat in Game 4 until things significantly turned around in the second half. Being down by as many as 26 points, the home team reduced the deficit to only 1-point courtesy to a 40-point masterclass by marquee scorer Jaylen Brown. However, with pressure piling up on Butler less Heat, turnovers seemed to have caused a major blow to Celtics.
Jaylen Brown was the only scorer on song in a 109-103 defeat for Boston Celtics. On the other hand, the likes of Marcus Smart and Jayson Tatum were well below expectations as they managed to score only 16 and 10 points. After fighting hard in the latter minutes of the fourth quarter, Brown was visibly upset from his teammates as they gave up a clutch possession right in the hands of Miami Heat.
Jaylen Brown’s heroics going in vain as Heat top Celtics in Game 3
To those who are not aware, Celtics went onto register 23 turnover in Game 3, out of which Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown had a combine total of 17 turnovers. While Miami Heat were way to careful with the possession as they had just 8 turnovers registered against their name.
Talking about the particular play, when Boston Celtics were only down by as many as 6-point with only 1:10 to go, Jayson Tatum carelessly gave away the ball to the Heat defense. Which resulted in the away team extending the lead with just a minute to go. Which clearly got the game’s highest scorer frustrated with his own teammates.
While the Heat were without Jimmy Butler in the entire second half as he was ruled out because of right knee inflammation, Victor Oladipo, who ironically did not step on the court in the entire first half, took charge. He not only registered 4 steals against his name, but even kept Brown quiet in the fourth quarter.
What drama awaits as Celtics go down once again in the Eastern Conference Finals? Remains to be eagerly seen in Game 4 at TD Garden.
