Jayson Tatum
Jayson Tatum has been doing a fantastic job for the Boston Celtics this season and his performances are MVP worthy. The Celtics started off their season on a very different note ranking among the bottom five teams in the Eastern Conference. What seemed like a struggle to find their system turns out to be one of the strongest defenses in the league.
Tatum let the team to the second spot in the East with a record of 51 wins and 31 losses. The team currently has the second-best chances of winning the title besides the Phoenix Suns and is more likely to win now following Devin Booker’s hamstring injury. The Celtics have taken a 2-0 lead against the Brooklyn Nets. Not many teams easily recover from a two-game deficit and the Nets are visibly frustrated.

The player averaged 26.9 points, 8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game on 45.3% shooting from the field. The three-time All-Star had two 50+ point performances during this season and finished fourth in total points in the league this year.

Jayson Tatum plans on ending the Nets’ title hopes in a sweep
Jayson Tatum is most definitely a rising superstar in the league and could potentially be the next face of the NBA. Tatum is also a very efficient scorer who mentored under the late great Kobe Bryant earlier in his career. Tatum helped extend Boston’s lead in the fourth quarter draining a well-contested shot from beyond the three-point arc leaving Goran Dragic helpless on defense.
Following the insane game, the player said, “This was like an old-fashioned, old-school playoff game. You just have to grind it out. That’s what we did… we just stuck with it. Proud of the guys and how we kept responding all game.” The Celtics are doing quite well for a team that is lacking their top defensive big man Robert Williams III. However, Al Horford is a very good shot-blocker himself as he also led the league in blocks in prior seasons. Marcus Smart was named the Defensive Player of the Year earlier this week which should be good enough for the Celtics to move ahead without a worry.
