In one of his recent interviews post-game, Jayson Tatum lets out his views over the recent All-Star Draft for 2023 which happened a few days ago giving out a solid overview of who will be playing and it seemed like he was expecting a bit more from it. He has been performing exceptionally well, enough to put him in the conversation of being an MVP contender easily by many talk shows and players.

After the NBA All-Star drafts for 2023, Jayson Tatum wasn’t able to get the starter position putting him behind Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Joel Embiid in the voting, fourth among the Eastern Conference players. “I’m in a tough a** position… I know I got my work cut out. I think will all be in Utah playing in the game”, said Tatum on the voting results further pointing out how each player is performing well and at least averaging 30 points per game making it a tough position to play in.

I would like to start who wouldn’t,” responding to the question of whether he wanted or not to be there as a starter. But Jayson Tatum adds on how everyone is giving their best and it is something that no one has that much control over. Everyone will be in Utah playing and Tatum plans on giving his best to the games ahead not being demotivated by the results of All-Star drafts.

Jayson Tatum subtly points out in one of his interviews how Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, and Giannis Antetokounmpo all are averaging 30 points per game. And they are in the MVP conversation for sure at least in his view. He also pointed out how they are getting better and he is slightly behind yet plans on improving his game to take his PPG over 30.

He sounds confident in giving them a good game whenever they are head-to-head on the court. It was strange not to hear Luka Doncic’s name thereby Tatum on the conversation of possible MVPs. Luka has been exceptional this season averaging 34 PPG but overall it was great to see Tatum focused and ready to bring the heat back to the court during the NBA All-Star game 2023.
