“I love you and I’m proud of you” Jimmy Butler delivers heartfelt message to ‘Brother’ Joel Embiid after Heat progress into EC Finals
Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler
Jimmy Butler, Miami Heat have been exceptional in the 2021-22 season, having managed to secure the top berth in the Eastern Conference Standings. After which they surely have played like the champs against every opponent. If anyone had doubts, Erik Spoelstra’s team has surely gone onto bury the same after they became the first team to book their slot in the Conference Finals by beating Philadelphia 76ers 4-2.
The Heat vs Sixers series was a special one was Jimmy Butler as he was up against his former team and brother Joel Embiid. With the duo exchanging banters on the court, and also off it, Butler went onto reveal a heartfelt message to Embiid as the away side won 99-90 at Wells Fargo Center.
What was opinionated by Jimmy Butler?
“I love him. I’m proud of him,” Butler said. “Yes yes yes, I still wish I was on this team. I definitely love the Miami Heat though. I’m glad that I’m here, but I got so much respect and love for Joel Embiid.”
As a matter of fact, Butler just dropped a truth bomb here about wanting to still be on Embiid’s team right now. Jimmy is not one to keep his true feelings to himself and he wasn’t shy about speaking his mind here. But he surely made it clear to be on Erik Spoelstra’s team more than ever. Now with the Conference finals upon their head, Butler would be looking to lead the charge against either Bucks or Celtics.
Talking particularly about Game 6 was Heat vs Sixers series, Jimmy Butler was simply exceptional as he registered 30 points against his name. While Joel Embiid did not have a happy hunting in his back-yard. Which evidently went onto raise the speculation about him being low on his morale after losing the MVP accolade.
That being said, heart does go out to Embiid who has played through injuries and pain, only to be able to make his 76ers’ squad reach conference finals sine 2000-01 season. But all eyes will be now on Butler and his resilient Heat going further.
