Jimmy Butler assures Miami Heat fans that he is planning to remain a Heat amidst trade rumors. The superstar forward is confident that the Heat can capture the NBA Championship this upcoming season.

The Miami Heat star just came off one of the best individual runs in playoff history. He led the 8-seed Miami Heat to the NBA Finals; however, they were brought down by the Denver Nuggets. Butler has made it clear that he has no plans to leave Miami, as the star made a huge statement in a recent interview.

Jimmy Butler recently appeared on the Chinese Baller Vision channel, where he chew over his plans for the upcoming season. “I believe that with all my heart, that we, I, will win a Championship for the Heat because I don’t plan on playing for another NBA team.” The 6-time All-Star added, “The next time I’m talking to ya’ll here, I’ll be a one-time NBA champion.”

The 6-foot-7 forward also talked about the team’s shortcomings in the Finals, “I really do believe that. We understand what it takes to get there and now we just have to get over that hump. I’ll be better, we’ll all be better as a unit.” He also loosely hinted at a possible Damian Lillard scenario, “I know that the team that Coach Pat and Coach Spo put around me and my teammates … we’ll gonna be fine.”

Butler was in China to promote his new signature sneaker with the Chinese shoe brand Li-ning. He has garnered quite a reputation in the performance sneaker world ever since he struck a multi-year deal with the brand in 2020.

Months after Damian Lillard requested a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers, his next destination is still blurry as trade talks have become muddy. The Miami Heat are Lillard’s clear-cut favorite destination. However, trade complications and several CBA restrictions have made trade talks undesirable for the Blazers.

As per reports, the Heat had already offered a long catalog of trade packages to the Blazers, but the front office is still not sold on the Heat’s offers. Although Dame had made it clear that he wants to join the Heat, his contract does not contain a no-trade clause like Bradley Beal giving full authority at the hands of the Blazers.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN has reported, “Most motivated team (Miami Heat) to acquire Damian Lillard. Portland could potentially drag this process out close to training camp in order to extract maximum value from Miami.” Many experts believe that this situation can drag along for months as GM Joe Cronin states, “If it takes months, it takes months.”

Damian Lillard has quickly gone from the most sought-after player in the market to an untouchable player due to the Blazers’ unrealistic demands. Teams like the Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, and the Los Angeles Clippers have all backed down from the Lillard race following the front office’s demands.
