Philadelphia 76ers superstar big man Joel Embiid has a good relationship with fellow big man Nikola Jokic. The two most recent league MVPs share a bond over their love for the game. So when they met on Tuesday night, Embiid whispered some friendly words to Jokic after the game.

After the game between the 76ers and the Denver Nuggets ended, Embiid and Jokic embraced each other on the court. During the embrace, Embiid was seen whispering something into Jokic’s ear.

After that embrace, Embiid walked into the courtside reporter who asked him about what was exchanged between them. Embiid said;

Embiid also implied that Jokic is the reigning Finals MVP, which is why he alludes to Jokic as the best player in the league now.

Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic have a lot of respect and admiration for each other’s game. So whenever they meet up for a match against each other, it is usually a battle to watch. The best two big men in the league going against each other is a sight to behold. To date, there has never been any bad blood between them. Respectfully competing against each other has made for must-watch TV.

Embiid is the reigning league MVP. Jokic was the MPV in the previous two years. Last year Jokic was beaten by Embiid after a stellar campaign. Both Embiid and Jokic have finished in the top 2 of the MVP voting in the last 3 seasons.

How did the latest matchup of Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokić fare?

The Philadelphia 76ers and the Denver Nuggets met up last night for a matchup between the best two players in the league, with both teams in third position in their respective conferences. The game did not disappoint.

Embiid got the better of his fellow big man with 41 points, 7 rebounds, and 10 assists to lead his team to a 126-121 victory. Jokic put up 25 points and 19 rebounds in their losing effort. Embiid with this performance just added to his MVP front-running position.

So to have the two best players in the league for three seasons straight, have this much respect and admiration for each other is rare.
