As the first-round playoff series between the Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans is going quite interesting as it is unexpectedly back and forth. Chris Paul and Jose Alvarado are going against each other since the first game and giving the fans around many moments to talk about. The Phoenix Suns are one win away to advance ahead and call it an official wrap for the Zion Williamson less New Orleans Pelicans. The Phoenix Suns hosted the New Orleans Pelicans at the Footprint Center for Game 5 of the series. It was a closely contested and head-to-head match-up between the two. But the early twelve-point lead by the Suns in the first quarter helped them to spread across and they eventually got the dub. The final box score stands at 112-97 favoring the Suns. The Pelicans were good on the defensive end led by Jose Alvarado and others but their offensive chain didn’t work well as they fell short to cut down the lead.
In the game, Chris Paul dropped 22 points, 11 assists, and 6 rebounds. While Jose Alvarado backing up the Pelicans’ star got himself only 12 points and 1 rebound.
