“You got me messed up!” Jrue Holiday’s family showed up wearing Lakers jersey to Boston Celtics game
Jrue Holiday is playing in his first season with the Boston Celtics, but his family are long time Lakers fans.

Boston Celtics star Jrue Holiday's family came to his game wearing Los Angeles Lakers jersey
For Jrue Holiday, moving to the Boston Celtics was a surreal opportunity. However, the Los Angeles native and his family are longtime supporters of the Lakers. This brought out a weird moment when his family showed up to his Celtics game against the Lakers wearing purple and gold.
Recently, Jrue Holiday spoke to Draymond Green on The Draymond Green Show. The 2-time All-Star revealed how his family embarrassed him. This is what Holiday said:
All my family to this still Lakers fan. I got family that came to the game in Boston with Lakers stuff on them. 'You got me messed up'. Thinking that you gonna come and watch this game with a LeBron jersey on. Like 'what is wrong with you.'Jrue Holiday via The Draymond Green Show

Holiday mentioned his family wanted to mess with him, considering the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics rivalry. But to come to a Celtics game wearing a Lakers jersey did not please Holiday in any way.
It is not often that a player’s family shows up to their game with rival jerseys on. Usually, it is the other way around. Families generally wear the jerseys of the team their son plays for. The 15-season veteran‘s family trolling him in his first year with the Celtics brought out a shocking reaction from Draymond Green.
Jrue Holiday was traded to the Boston Celtics in September last year. Even though he would have liked to play for his hometown team, the Celtics gave up the draft capital needed to bring Holiday to the TD Garden. So far, the team benefitted as the Celtics have the best record in the league.
Jrue Holiday and role with the Boston Celtics
The entire NBA community stood up to take notice when Jrue Holiday was traded to the Boston Celtics. After bringing in Kristaps Porzingis, the Celtics were already looking like title favorites. But the addition of Holiday brought in much-needed toughness. The 3-time Defensive 1st team selection’s lockdown abilities make him a threat on the perimeter.
In addition to that, his championship-winning pedigree and Holiday’s role as a mentor to his younger teammates have paid dividends. The league-leading Celtics are playing mostly on the back of their leading superstars. But Holiday’s moment will come when the playoffs start.
And if the Los Angeles Lakers somehow meet his current team in the NBA Finals, he remains worried his family will pull a stunt again. After all, die-hard Lakers fans are not easy when it comes to playing against their perennial rivals.
