Ja Morant could care less for the haters as his team managed to bounce back to winning status after snatching Game 2 in the first round of the playoffs. However, during the Game 1, followers of the league were to transition from being loyal to disloyal in a matter of a single loss. Morant did not take the heat well and came back wanting blood. Game 2 was more of what most of us expected out of the Grizzlies after dominating the second half of the regular season. They finished the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 28-point blowout leaving fans shook in their paths. Morant had a near triple-double and managed to rip the Wolves even after being hurt by their defense in acts of desperation.

Ja Morant tore through the league during the second half of the season and had many shifting their attention towards the Grizzlies. The team looked very dominant and earned their spot in the title contention conversations among the Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks and a few others. The All-Star point guard finished his regular season averaging 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game on 49.3% shooting from the field.

Ja Morant put a lot of effort into the first game finishing with 32 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds shooting 8-18 from the field and admitted that there were still flaws in his presence on the team. In Game 2, he scored 23 points along with 10 assists and 9 rebounds to lead the Grizzlies in a win. They will move into the next game with Minnesota having home court advantage on Saturday.

Ja Morant had definitely taken this disloyalty to a personal level. The player even tweeted a video of Michael Jordan from the documentary series, ‘The Last Dance,’ indicating that he was upset and aggravated by the way fans handled the Game 1 loss. After the game, while be interviewed by Chris Haynes, he said, “It was my fault. I put guys in tough situations last game. My job was to come and correct that and that’s what I did.”
