“What the hell are we calling Kawhi Leonard, Pajamas?” LeBron James’ former teammate calls out Kawhi Leonard’s lack of game time
Kendrick Perkins and Kawhi Leonard
NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins is not happy with how the Los Angeles Clippers are handling their star player Kawhi Leonard. Kawhi was ruled out of the last game against the Golden State Warriors as he suffered a left ankle sprain. Moreover, Kawhi has missed fourteen out of eighteen games this season for his team.
Kendrick Perkins couldn’t keep quiet as soon as he learned that Kawhi is set to miss his fourteenth game, he tweeted, “If they calling AD street clothes then what the hell are we calling Kawhi Leonard, Pajamas? I mean, damn! Carry on…” Perkins is referring to LA Lakers star Anthony Davis also because even he faced much heat for missing out on games due to injuries and health concerns as he failed to keep up being healthy.
Kawhi Leonard has been a vital cog in the Clippers’ machine. His absence has somehow affected the team’s run. Leonard averages only 10.0 points in five games, on 42.2% shooting and 13% from 3-point range this NBA season. The last time he was on the court was against the Utah Jazz, where he played only for 23 minutes, and here he rolled his ankle and has been sidelined since then.

Kawhi Leonard gave an update on his ankle injury
The LA Clippers star Kawhi Leonard rolled over his ankle and sustained an injury which resulted in him missing crucial matches for his team yet again. The Clippers’ management decided not to take any chance and kept him out, citing a long season ahead. When Kawhi was asked about his injury recently, he said he was doing good and that his injury was also fine.
Kawhi Leonard suffered an injury during game four against the same team in the 2021 Western Conference Finals. Back then as well, he stated that he was doing better. But apparently, it turned out that he had a torn ACL. Kawhi will also miss out against the Golden State Warriors, and the coach doesn’t want to risk anything considering Kawhi.
All eyes will be on Kawhi’s return as the fans will be eager to see him on the court. His presence will also matters for the team, mainly during the business end of the league and they will hope that nothing serious about his injury turns up. The LA Clippers await the challenge of the Denver Nuggets next.
