“He’s being nothing but a foolish little di*k” Kendrick Perkins places LeBron James over reigning MVP in his Top 5 list ahead of 2022-23 season
LeBron James, Kendrick Perkins and Nikola Jokic
Kendrick Perkins has made his way back to the NBA headlines as recently like every other analyst, media house and firm related to sports even he gave out his list for the top players in the league for the coming season. Big Perk compared his to the one released by ESPN and honestly like every other time feelings of different fans and players are hurt. As every list out there is termed as controversial. But Kendrick Perkins like always has outshined everyone and now fans call him senseless and foolish. As he ranked LeBron James over Nikola Jokic.
Kendrick Perkins is really good at jumping around and changing his very personal opinions and views. He has probably also forgotten that Basketball is a team game and last year LeBron James failed to lead his team even to the play-in tournament. While Nikola Jokic did a phenomenal job in carrying the Nuggets to the playoffs where Stephen Curry and the Warriors showed them the way out. Kendrick Perkins’ take though can’t be claimed to be all wrong but it’s not just the individual performance you see while ranking some of the best guys in the business out there.
Kendrick Perkins giving his top 5 on “NBA Today” ranked Giannis Antetokounmpo at the top and brought in Chef Curry at second place. Further, he had LeBron James, Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid respectively. And while doing so and giving a reason he quoted: “At no.3, I’m going with LeBron James. People can say what they want. I know in 7-years, he’s gonna be eligible for a pension and not get it, but he still averaged 30 last season, and he’s still a problem in today’s game.”
It didn’t just end there and after robbing Nikola Jokic, Kendrick Perkins went on to say: “At no. 4 I am going with Jokic. A two time MVP. You know a lot of people say he won the MVP back to back and I am hating but I am not hating. He’s in the Top-5 and he’s right at number 4 that’s a good number for him.” Nikola Jokic really gets robbed every other time and now it’s completely fair to call out Perk’s take senseless and foolish as even fans agree on it.
Did Nikola Jokic get robbed by Kendrick Perkins after being placed below LeBron James?
Yeah, Kendrick Perkins not only robbed Nikola Jokic but also disrespected him by ranking LeBron James over him for the coming season. Bron is surely in the G.O.A.T conversation and had a monstrous season last year and if that’s the criteria for Perk to bring him up he really is a fool or is just clowning around. As Bron last season averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game compared to Jokers’ 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists per game. The King had the crown in the scoring land while some of the best veterans backed him up.
Nikola Jokic though was completely helpless as the Nuggets missed Jamal Murray and Michael Porter JR. The two of their three best players. But he still carried the team across on his strong shoulders and always suited up. So it’s fair to say that Kendrick Perkins messed up his Top 5 players list for the coming season and he also owes an apology to the Joker for robbing him.
