Kevin Durant has fired back at Charles Barkley’s comments regarding his need to win a championship without the Warriors in a recent episode of “The Etcs” on Boardroom.TV, the Suns’ superstar, who is currently out of action due to an injury, responded to Barkley’s analogy of him being a passenger on a championship-winning bus and now needing to be a bus driver to win a title with the Nets or Suns.

Durant acknowledged Barkley’s skills as a player and analyst but disagreed with his assessment. The two-time NBA champion argued that he had already proven himself as a driver, leading the Warriors to two titles in three years. He also pointed out that other championship-winning teams, such as the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls, had star players and a solid supporting cast.

Despite the disagreement, Durant emphasized that he respected Barkley’s opinions and appreciated his honesty. He also stated that he was focused on bringing a championship to the Suns and was confident in his ability to lead the team to victory.

“It just looks corny on his part. Like, you’re a legend in the game. We respect what you’ve done, and, like, when you start trying to tear people apart for what they did in different ways and tryin’ to basically bully people because you’re in the media, it’s just corny to me. But it is what it is. It’s a part of the storyline.

He further added, “And he’s a f****ng legend that I got nothing but respect for, and when I look up, I’m gonna play with pride knowing that he put blood sweat and tears into this organization, so that ain’t got nothing to do with how he is as an analyst though.

NBA legend Charles Barkley’s recent comments regarding Kevin Durant’s championship rings have ignited controversy in the NBA world. Barkley suggested that Durant’s two championships with the Golden State Warriors were not “valid” and that he took the “easy way out” by joining a team that had already won a championship.

Durant didn’t let it go and responded by saying he doesn’t need validation for his titles and that Barkley’s opinion doesn’t matter to him. The debate continues whether Durant’s rings hold the same weight as those earned by other players who didn’t join a championship team.

In June on ESPN’s “Get Up,” Charles Barkley made a comment about Kevin Durant, stating that he was like a bus driver and couldn’t lead a team to a championship by himself.

“Before KD gets that great respect from all the old heads, he’s going to have to win a championship as the bus driver. Listen, he joined that team that already won a championship. No disrespect, that’s just a fact. Charles added, “KD’s an all-time hell of a player, but until he is the guy on a championship, we’re not going to ever give him the respect that he probably deserves. The game hasn’t changed. Kobe said it, LeBron said it, and so we’re going to hold him to the same high standard.”
