“There’s 8 billion people in this world” Kevin Durant gets real on LeBron James becoming NBA’s all-time leading scorer

LeBron James and Kevin Durant

Brooklyn Nets star player Kevin Durant is making his way up in the NBA’s all-time scoring list. To no one’s surprise, the top spot may soon be acquired by NBA legend LeBron James. Kevin applauded LeBron’s efforts and has a much greater appreciation for him.

Kevin Durant mentioned the same in an interview while at a shootout. He quoted, “To be the No. 1 in anything, there’s 8 billion people in the world, we just figured that out last week, so to be the No. 1 of all time at scoring the basketball, I’m sure it’s going to be a range of emotions for him.” LeBron James has 37,311 career points, second only to great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 38,387 career points.

Kevin added, “But to be in an era where we see this live is pretty cool as well. You probably can’t even describe the emotions and feelings him and his family and his friends are going to go through, but it’s cool to see it up close.” KevinDurant has 26,074 points and recently passed Kevin Garnett for 18th place on the NBA‘s all-time scoring list.

The Brooklyn Nets faced yet another loss as they went down to the Indiana Pacers 128-117. Buddy Hield scored 26 points, Myles Turner added 23 points, Tyrese Haliburton had 21 points and 15 assists. Bennedict Mathurin finished with 20 for the Pacers. Kevin Durant scored 36 points for the Nets with 20 in the fourth quarter for the Nets. Ben Simmons made all eight shots and scored 20 before fouling out in the final minute.

Kyrie Irving also had 20 points. Nic Claxton had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Brooklyn Nets’ player Yuta Watanabe is benched as he has still not recovered from a hamstring strain. Andrew Nembhard missed his third consecutive game for the Pacers with a bruised left knee. The Nets cannot access their problem areas and it can be seen on the court that their lack of assessment is costing them much-needed wins.

Fans will be hoping to see some turnaround as the Nets have only recorded nine wins from the twenty games they played. They will look to pocket a desperate win when they next take on the Portland Trailblazers. In contrast, the Pacers will play the LA Clippers.
