“Been there, done that” Kevin Durant makes his feelings perfectly clear on not being included in MVP conversation

The kind of form the Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant is in right now, anyone would favor him to take this year’s MVP award. He is the reason behind the Nets adding to their wins tally. The stadium fans gave out ‘MVP’ chants when the Nets took on the Orlando Magic.
However, Kevin doesn’t want the award but wants some respect from the fans. In a press conference, he quoted, “No, not really. I mean, I’ve been there, done that to be honest. I know it’s going to take a lot from me to be in that conversation.” Durant scored 45 points and led his team to another comprehensive win.
Kevin added, “I just want the respect from our fanbase and I want them to have a good time when they come to the game. That’s what strikes chants up, is how I play, from the fans as long as they’re having a good time. I’m not too worried about accolades at this point in my career.” Kevin is averaging 30.0 points on 54.8 percent shooting (despite just 34.6 percent from three) with 6.6 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.8 blocks per game in the 22 games he has played this season.

Everyone knows the sublime form the Brooklyn Nets guard Kevin Durant is in. But his long-time teammate Kyrie Irving is not surprised to see Kevin score heftily. While giving an interview in the press conference, Kyrie stated that when he sees something special on the court, he tries his best to remain engaged.
He added that still, it’s hard not to stare and watch somebody like Kevin who is exceptionally talented. He also added that everyone knows what Kevin is capable of, and when he shows his talent it’s an honor for Kyrie to be a part of it. Kyrie Irving concluded that he was grateful to be his teammate.
Kyrie and Kevin have been playing for the Nets for a long time now but haven’t been able to take the team to a title win due to various reasons or hurdles. But this time, the Nets franchise looks rigid and robust and is up for any challenge and if they continue their winning run, it is sure that Kevin and Kyrie can combine to take the Nets to an NBA championship win.
