Kevin Durant is all over the NBA headlines as recently he took an indirect shot against Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Having the Lakers legend on the receiving end is very shocking as you don’t expect him there. As he’s the one who’s always criticizing and hating on others especially stars and superstars from any sports background. And, like the many other times even this time, we have Kyrie Irving listed as the reason. But fortunately, this time he’s backed up by his teammate and best friend, Kevin Durant.

Jabbar has been hating on Kyrie Irving for some good years now. And, a lot of it is because of his vaccination status, attitude, drama, being unavailable for the Nets, and yeah also his wealth. As Kareem Abdul Jabbar never forgets to mention how Kyrie Irving is rich, getting paid and still making money out there. But none of it matters to Kevin Durant as being the least bothered about the situation he recently liked a tweet and sparked some new tensions in the room. It’s not at all unexpected as nowadays anyone on the internet can have Kevin Durant responding to their takes.

Recently, Kareem Abdul Jabbar called out Kyrie Irving and like always criticized him for the several reasons he has. He also has an evergreen take of his where he trolls and criticizes the most skilled point guard in the league by saying: “Kyrie Irving should reconsider his behavior because young people look up to him.” Jabbar has always bashed not only the star but also his young fan base for senselessly following him. But honestly, that’s just none of his business.

This time though Kareem Abdul Jabbar got trapped as fans have raised fingers for his behavior on the court as he always criticizes Kyrie Irving for the very same topic. The internet has won again by bringing in a video of Kareem handing out an ugly sucker punch to rookie Kent Benson on October 18, 1977.

A guy who has swung a strong right straight out of frustration on his rival for getting elbowed has no rights to criticize Kyrie Irving. As many fans around now believe. Even KD is riding with those as he liked that particular tweet and took an indirect shot against Kareem while supporting his mate, Uncle Drew.

Can Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s respect back?

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving can surely have Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s respect back. It’s really not much about KD but Irving really has a big journey to go on if he wants Jabbar to respect him. He’ll have to start with being available for the team and throw out some explanations for all the controversial headlines he’s a part of only if he wants to.

Also, the Brooklyn Nets have both their stars back and they are locked into bringing a championship for the team. As they have the right pieces around them and now only have to pick a rhythm and build a solid chemistry around. If they can pull that, not many teams are capable of winning against them.
