Davante Adams and Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant the NBA superstar is also known for his love of the NFL. When On Sunday, Davante Adams broke a Las Vegas Raiders club record, Durant took to Twitter to show his appreciation for Adams. Despite Adam’s efforts, the team lost in overtime to the San Francisco 49ers, 37-34. Even though the raiders started Jarrett Stidham in lieu of Derek Carr during the Week 17 game, Adams had a fantastic day for Las Vegas. The top wideout hauled in seven passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns.
Kevin Durant was greatly impressed by one of Adams’ touchdowns in the final moments of the second quarter. Adams received a pass from his teammate and scored the touchdown, taking his team past the 49ers. Later in the game, Adams surpassed the 1,408-yard single-season receiving mark for the team established in 1997 by Hall of Fame receiver Tim Brown late in the fourth quarter. Here’s what the Brooklyn Nets star tweeted spectating the unreal grab and TD of Adams.
Thanks to their defense, which had been ineffective for the majority of Sunday, the 49ers defeated the Raiders in overtime. When defensive end Nick Bosa pushed left tackle Jarrett Stidham towards the left sideline, he was unable to complete his deep ball up the left sideline. A flying ball was the end consequence, and safety Tashaun Gipson effortlessly caught it in his hands.
Las Vegas has had a difficult season, but Adams has kept up his excellent play. This season, the veteran Packer was selected for his sixth straight Pro Bowl. The wide receiver, 30, is on track to surpass his career-best total of 1,533 receiving yards set during his final season with Green Bay. He now leads the NFL with 14 touchdown receptions.
