Nothing seems to be working out for the Golden State Warriors in recent weeks. Currently 11th in the Western Conference, every flicker of hope in the form of a win has been regularly overshadowed by equally disheartening losses.

The absence of Draymond Green owing to his indefinite suspension has left the Warriors unsure of what their starting lineup should look like. The team has consistently lacked intensity, and the β€˜hero basketball’ that revolves around Stephen Curry’s ability to dominate scoring has not worked out.

The biggest reason behind that is the ease with which teams have been able to score against the Warriors this season. Regardless, the frustration seems to be traveling through the team as well. Klay Thompson, in the Warriors’ most recent loss to the Dallas Mavericks, was seen zoning out for a few moments with less than 9 minutes on the clock.Β

With the Warriors trailing by 11 owing to Luka Doncic’s incredible display that eventually culminated with 39 points and 10 assists, Thompson sat down on the bench despite not being taken out by the coaches. The player painted a dejected figure as he was quickly told by a coach that he was actually, on the floor.

Thompson then rushed back to defend the Mavericks’ Trayce Jackson-Davis, as Stephen Curry could also be seen looking over in confusion.Β

Even Stephen Curry was left frustrated with the Dallas Mavericks loss

Stephen Curry finished the night with 25 points and 7 assists with a 9-25 shooting split. The player has obviously been frustrated with his team’s showings despite his own individual performances and expressed the same in the press conference following the game.

Curry claimed that his team was simply not ready as of yet, and with 32 games down the line, has not yet managed to find its starting 5:

It's frustrating, for sure, 32 games in and any team that is a seriously competitive contender, a good team can answer that question. We have to get to that point, for sure, before it's too late.

The Warriors superstar wants the tactical issues to be solved as quickly as possible, which have also been exacerbated by Draymond Green’s loss. That, is something which is not going to change in the near future, as things stand.
