Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green are officially back together for the Golden State Warriors as the playoffs have started. In the first round, they are going all in and against of Nikola Jokic-led Denver Nuggets. The legendary trio the Golden State Warriors who established the team as a dynasty is back and healthy and now aims at running it back once again while revenging the league for the disrespect they threw at them for the past two years. Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson were constantly criticized this season as many thought they aren’t living up to the expectations while being injury prone. They were also doubted to record a win during the game one against the Denver Nuggets but proving everyone wrong they lead it by one as of now.
The Golden State Warriors hosted the Nikola Jokic-led Denver Nuggets at Chase Centre for game one of the first round. The Dubs dominated the Nuggets even though Stephen Curry came off the bench. It was Jordan Poole who got the job done as in his playoff debut he dropped 30 points, 3 assists, and 1 rebound which got them the dub. The final box score stands at 123-107 favoring the Golden State Warriors. As of now, they lead the series with a good chance of advancing but it won’t take long for the Nuggets to change the whole narrative around the game so still, it’s very unpredictable since the potential is on both the sides.
In the game, Stephen Curry dropped 16 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds. It was a successful return for him. He was also backed up by Klay Thompson (19 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds) and Draymond Green (12 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds). It was their first playoff appearance since 2019 which was a very unfortunate year. The crowd went crazy watching it all run back and the Dubs dominate the Nuggets so they gave a standing ovation to their stars. It was all emotions in the arena as the team has really bounced back after all those setbacks in the past three years with the Big three being the same guys.
