Golden State Warriors lost Game 3 of the 2022 NBA Finals devastatingly. But to make things worst, their sensational leader and top scorer Stephen Curry looked in some discomfort after Al Horford caught him in a horrific incident. The whole dub nation looked worried, and later it was more about Steph’s condition than the lost game. His Splash Brother Klay Thompson had nothing but good wishes for Steph. Late in the 4th quarter, Curry appeared to catch an ankle injury trying to grab a loose ball.

The Boston Celtics dominated the game right from the start. But the Warriors later maintained some pace with the home team, courtesy of Splash Brothers. But with an emphatic 4th quarter performance, Boston Celtics won the game 116-100 at TD Garden. They now take a 2-1 series lead. Now more so-ever the Golden State will be sweating on Curry’s health status as Game 4 is scheduled in less than 48 hours.

6-time NBA Champions have tasted a major part of their success with this exact core in the recent past. With their 6th Finals appearance in the last 8 seasons, the Warriors were familiar with the type of game they need to play to win it all. But impressively their leader 34-years old Stephen Curry still remains the offensive spearhead for the team.

He is averaging above 30 points per game in the finals series and has been the top scorer for both the teams in all 3 games played. Though he scored 31 points at TD Garden’s 1st visit in the Finals, his team could not support him defensively enough putting a lot of pressure on him to score more points.

Western Conference Finals MVP did all he could as he looked unstoppable in 1st three-quarters of the game. But once again Celtics made their defenses tight in the final 12 minutes of the game, limiting Steph to just 2 points in 9+ minutes on the floor.

Curry’s health scare took place when the Warriors were trailing by 12 points (98-110) with about four minutes left to play in the final period. Celtics marquee player, Jayson Tatum missed a mid-range jumper, and Steph dived for a loose ball. But Al Horford, who was also going for the ball, fell over his left ankle. Klay Thompson expressed his concerns after the game and said, “I hope he’s okay because he is our identity”

Curry looked in pain and the game stopped for a considerable period of time, as he was helped off the floor by his teammates. The Sharpshooter did make his appearance for the post-game media interaction and had his left ankle wrapped up. Curry scored 15 of his 31 points in the third period as the Warriors rallied their way into the game.

Steph Curry said about his injury, “I’m gonna be alright. I got caught underneath Al. Obviously, will be in some pain, but I’ll be alright. See how I feel tomorrow and get ready for Friday.”

Warriors would be hoping for the same as the team would love to get back home with leveled series rather than chasing a big 1-3 deficit in the series.
