Klay Thompson, recognized for his trash-talking, carries a lingering embarrassment from an incident. Last October, he received his first NBA ejection after confronting Devin Booker and gesturing with four fingers, alluding to his four championships compared to Devin’s none.
During a recent appearance on “Podcast P with Paul George“, Klay reflected on the incident, admitting that Booker outplayed him that day and he wasn’t performing at his best. He candidly stated, “I was in my feelings though. Book was busting my a** that day, I was not where I needed to be, god.”
He elaborated that the incident hasn’t aged well for him, acknowledging that he didn’t need to emphasize his four rings as it’s common knowledge available on Wikipedia. He revealed his personal insecurity during that moment and took responsibility for his weakness, expressing that he was not proud of that incident.
“Stuff doesn’t age well, and that didn’t age well for me,” Thompson said. “Like, I don’t need to be flexing four rings, bro, everybody know that. That’s on Wikipedia. My game wasn’t where it was at, and we all get insecure at times. I’m man enough to admit that. We all have our moments of weakness. I’m not really proud of that one,” Klay added.
Klay Thompson played a pivotal role in the Warriors dynasty, facing numerous challenges throughout his NBA career. He overcame an ACL and Achilles injury during the 2022 season, which culminated in a championship win. This highlighted his resilience despite not being in his prime, showcasing his remaining time in the league.

Klay Thompson talks about his historic 60-point game
Thompson stands as one of the league’s premier shooters, and his remarkable 60-point performance against the Indiana Pacers in 2016 with a mere 11 dribbles remains etched in memory. Discussing this performance, he recently joined forces with none other than Paul George on his “Podcast P” episode.
Klay delved into his outstanding performance, attributing it to consistently favorable opportunities and pinpoint passes from Draymond Green. He noted that his gameplay could potentially endure through time, setting an enduring record that might prove unbreakable.
“I had good looks throughout the entire game,” Thompson shared. “Draymond [Green] was delivering the ball right to the sweet spot, right on the seams. Some things just remain timeless, and that could very well be one of them.”
The fervent wish of Warriors fans is for Klay to return to this form, contributing to their team’s pursuit of another championship and the restoration of their status as the world’s finest team.
