“Y’all really interviewed this clown?” Klay Thompson’s damaging words for Ronnie 2k for his interview with ESPN
Klay Thompson and Ronnie Singh
Klay Thompson is widely regarded as one of the best three-point shooters of all time. He is the second half of the Splash Brothers, and if you tell him he isn’t one of the best, you can bet he’ll be upset. This is exactly what happened recently when NBA 2K ranked him as the 88th-best three-point shooter in the game. This places him as the game’s second-best three-point shooter, trailing only Curry. Thompson despised his ranking and expressed his displeasure by asking people to respect his name.
He has been feuding with the game’s promoter, Ronnie 2K, since then. Klay has repeatedly roasted the man, and he recently retaliated after Ronnie 2K appeared on ESPN. Klay responded to the interview on Instagram, writing, “Y’all really interviewed this clown? I thought NBA on ESPN meant coverage of the world’s best athletes. Improve, ESPN.” Thompson was tied for second place in 3-point shooting with Desmond Bane, Kevin Durant, and Luke Kennard, with an 88 rating. While there is no doubt that Stephen Curry, rated 99, deserved to be first, the gap between him and second place was questionable.
Klay Thompson’s issue with Ronnie Singh and NBA 2K
Klay Thompson appears to be struggling with his 3-point rating in NBA 2K23. The four-time champion continues to slam digital marketer Ronnie 2K on a daily basis, the most recent incident being the promoter’s interview with ESPN, which irritated the Warriors guard considerably. “Y’all really interviewed this clown? I thought NBA on ESPN meant coverage of the best athletes in the world? Not interviewing a promoter. Do better ESPN,” Thompson wrote in his comment. The interview with Ronnie 2K went viral as he made a surprising revelation regarding gamers providing money to raise their own 2K ratings.
Thompson, on the other hand, seems unconcerned by the promoter’s truth bomb. All Klay is concerned with is the fact that ESPN messed up when they chose to give Ronnie 2K some time in the spotlight — at least from Thompson’s perspective. In case you don’t know, an 88 out of three is considered very good. In fact, it’s the game’s second-best. Thompson will eventually learn to live with it. Still, Klay has a right to feel mistreated, and he’s venting his rage on Ronnie. When the season begins tomorrow, perhaps he’ll start taking it out on his opponents on the court.
