The Eastern Conference Semi-Finals series is all squared off at 1-1. Playing at home, the New York Knicks were down 1-0 going into Game 2 against the Miami Heat. However, with both Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson back on the floor for NY, the home team came out on top. Brunson was the top scorer for the Knicks with 30 points while Randle decked up 25 points. Miami put up quite a fight without Jimmy Butler, with Caleb Martin scoring 22 points. However, they fell short by six points as the score at the end of regulation was 105-111.

The Knicks-Heat series will now head southwards to Miami. The Miami Heat will host Games 3 and 4 and will look to defend their home court. The Knicks will not have intentions of being the kindest visitors either. Wins on the road are always a morale booster for any team, and New York will look to make the series 3-1 in Miami.

Jimmy Butler was out of Game 2 due to ankle soreness. He is likely to have picked up the injury in Game 1 against NY, where he twisted his right ankle while driving to the basket. Jimmy Butler has been the main reason behind Miami’s impressive postseason run. Moreover, missing Butler for too long might hamper their chances of winning the series with both Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson back in for New York. Miami will only hope that their star player makes a quick recovery and is back on the court.

While the Knicks managed to defend their home court, NBA fans aren’t too impressed with their win. While some called NY lucky for facing a Butler-less Heat, some are saying that the referees officiated poorly. Some fans are also pointing out veteran NBA referee Scott Foster saying that he clearly favored the Knicks. Here are some comments going around:

While Heat fans have brought the mockery unfiltered, Knicks fans have come to their team’s defense. Most of them argue that the Miami fandom shouldn’t be too upset as they beat NY without their star player in Game 1. However, as typical as a fanbase could get, the jokes, taunts, and mockery of the New York Knicks celebrating their Game 2 victory continues.

As exciting as the tussle between the two fanbases gets, Game 3 will only bring more of it. Needless to say, the Knicks-Heat series is turning into a very promising and exciting development.
