NBA fans left unimpressed over the NBA 2K24 cover art
The cover athlete for the new edition of NBA2k is lastly finalized and is expected to release two editions of the game. The new game is set to feature Kobe Bryant for both of the main covers.
Take-Two Interactive will be paying tribute to Kobe Bryant once again by featuring him as the cover athlete for their upcoming edition of NBA 2k24. The Mamba is set to appear in both the NBA 2k24 Black Mamba Edition and the NBA 2k24 Kobe Bryant Edition.
Kobe Bryant still remains in the heart of every basketball fanatic and players alike with fans paying tribute to the Mamba even after three years following his tragic death on January 26th, 2020. This gesture from 2K will mark Kobe’s return to the game series. Bryant has made the All-defensive team 12 times, won five NBA championships, made the All-Star team 18 times and was a former MVP.
The Black Mamba edition will feature Bryant’s Jersey No.24 version of him, conveying his accomplishments at that stage of his career when he was already locked in to make the Hall-of-Fame. The Kobe Bryant Edition changes the cover up a bit and will feature a younger version of Kobe wearing the jersey No.8 with the cover flaunting a hyper-athletic Bryant with his hair still intact.

The adoration fans held for Kobe Bryant is still riding and they weren’t too impressed when they came in touch with the new art for the NBA 2K24 cover. Fans have complained that the company should’ve given more effort into the designs as the cover came out as ‘lazy’ to the public with some fans even pointing out a Photoshop error in the Mamba Edition cover.

His appearance on the cover will mark his fourth overall arrival on the NBA2K cover. The 5-time champion had already been featured on the cover of NBA 2K21, NBA 2K17 and NBA 2K10.
Pre-booking will be made available by tomorrow but the information regarding the release date and the price of the game is still not disclosed to the public.
