The duo of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving has once again made its way back to the NBA headlines. The rumor mill is again filled to the brim as the basketball world believes they’ll soon be reuniting and donning the purple and yellow jersey. Bron and Uncle Drew made one of the best duos seen in the modern NBA. But unfortunately, they were only able to win one championship during their time together at Cleveland Cavaliers. And now, maybe it’s the time for LeBron James and Kyrie Irving to reunite and win some more titles.
Kyrie Irving was expected to join the Los Angeles Lakers this season or even before the season started. However, he chose the bag over LeBron James by picking his player option. And the second time, the Brooklyn Nets organization, after the Kevin Durant-Kyrie Irving era proved to be a failure, traded him to the Dallas Mavericks.
But unfortunately, the trade didn’t age well for the Mark Cuban-owned team, as they missed the post-season and lost 18 of their final 25 games. But this isn’t the disappointing end, as there’s more to it.
Kyrie Irving isn’t under any contract anymore after picking up his $36 million player option with the Nets and is set to enter free agency this offseason. So the Dallas Mavericks would have to recruit him to resign with them.
