Kyrie Irving has a history with the Boston Celtics and its fans since the time he left the team, in fact, things weren’t good between them both even when the player was in the team. Kyrie was never treated properly by the Celtics fans and that continues to this day as the same fans love to mess around with him for no particular reason. While it seems as if it is a necessary ritual for Celtics fans to disrespect Kyrie, the player doesn’t stop himself from firing back as well, in fact, he does that with the same intensity if not even more.
Such was the case after Jayson Tatum ruined the Brooklyn Nets’ game 1 against the Boston Celtics by making a layup, getting a dub in the very end moments.
Jayson Tatum’s heroics weren’t celebrated as much as Kyrie Irving’s loss by the Boston Celtics and that tells you what matters to these fans, in fact forget celebration, Irving’s antics against the crowd mare more rounds on social media than Celtics’ win and specifically Tatum’s heroics. The game that was filled with competitiveness, high intensity and highlights from the very beginning ended in the Celtics’ favour as they took a 115-114 victory against the Irving led Brooklyn Nets.
The lead wasn’t absolute for the entirety of the match and the Celtics did come back stronger after the half time, but the Nets managed to regain the lead in the 4th quarter again, after which, one mistake by the team accompanied by the heroics of Tatum led to them losing the match by a 1-point margin in the very end moments.

The Brooklyn Nets suffered a tough loss against the Boston Celtics, thanks to Jayson Tatum’s heroics, post which it is bound to happen that the Nets players suffer a lot of pressure and disappointment, and amidst that pressure, there is one player who was targeted for the entirety of the game by Celtics fans, Kyrie Irving, who very evidently has a history with the rival team and its fans, and now owing to that history, it is bound to happen that they target him all the time, on court and off court as well, like it happened here in this incident.
Jayson Tatum got a pass from Marcus Smart at the very end moment of the game after a missed shot by Kevin Durant, Tatum upon receiving the ball went in for the layup and made it, therefore giving his team a 1-point lead at the very end moment of the game, getting them the win, taking them 1 up in the playoff series.

Despite a wonderful performance in the entirety of the game, Irving lost the match, disappointing himself. Right after the tough loss as the player was going into the locker room, he was greeted by a Celtics fan, not very kindly. The fan said, “Kyrie, you suck!” to which he didn’t hold back and replied, “Suck my d**k b***h” without any hesitation.
It seems like Kyrie is done with all the trash talk coming from the Celtics fans or anyone else for that matter and similar scenes should be witnessed in the coming times whenever he is treated the same way. What would rather be suggested is for the Celtics fans to get over him and focus more on their own team rather than a rival player who destroys their defence very easily, and will be looking forward to doing the same thing in the future.
