The Dallas Mavericks superstar Kyrie Irving has always spoken his mind. He often gets into controversies when he does that. But he did something recently that melted the hearts of the NBA world.

Irving held a specially designed ball on the podium while at the post-game press conference after the game against the New York Knicks. After the questioning round, just as he was about to leave, he asked a reporter to come forward and handed her the ball. The ball was the first one of a specially designed ball. While giving it to the reporter, Irving said:

The reporter who got the gift is a middle-school teacher in the Irving School District in Texas. The teacher cum reporter said she would use the ball to bring out conversations from her students.

Irving led a Luka Doncic-less Mavericks to a win against the Knicks 128-124. He put up a season-high 44 points, four rebounds, and ten assists to lead the Mavericks. Playing without Doncic and two other starters, the offensive load was on Irving. And he shined.
