The Los Angeles Lakers were up against a robust Phoenix Suns team in their second match in the NBA pre-season games. The Los Angeles Lakers are eyeing a solid comeback after a disastrous last season. The second game was going towards a close ending, and a second-string Lakers team was on the court. But after Damian Jones scored a dunk, the Lakers bench was all pumped up and almost entered the court, so the referee gave them a technical foul.

Kendrick Nunn and Damian Jones

Stars like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook watched the game from the bench. During the game’s final moments, Kendrick Nunn assisted Damian Jones, who then went on to dunk and score 2 pts for his team. This excited the whole LA Lakers bench, and they all got up from their seats and were almost on the court. Seeing this, the female referee warned the players and gave them a technical foul for their excessive celebrations. The Phoenix Suns team then got a free shot at the basket.

LA Lakers head coach also questioned the referee’s decision, and the players were funnily taking it all. Russell Westbrook and LeBron James burst out laughing, and Westbrook started signaling something to the coach. The Lakers had to pay for such behavior as they lost the match by a close margin. They should focus on the road ahead as the 2022-2023 NBA season will soon start in a few days.
