Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan‘s preferred trade destinations have been revealed and it seems like the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat are looking like hot spots for the star forward. If DeRozan is on the path to getting traded, he is most likely to be traded before the 8th of February next year.
Sources also suggest that the Los Angeles Lakers are also interested in him and that the Bulls are prioritizing Zach Lavine‘s trade deal before involving themselves in this business. The Lakers wanted DeRozan in 2021 before they got Russell Westbrook. Now, they are being linked again two years later.
DeRozan is averaging 21.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and one steal per game this season. He is known for his exceptional midrange shots and his niche can help the Heat the most as he can make the team a threat from the offensive point of view in the Eastern Conference. The only downside to this can be that this can divert the ball handling to DeRozan from Heat’s star guard Jimmy Butler.
As of right now, though, the Chicago Bulls have no intention of initiating trade negotiations. The Bulls’ intention to concentrate on Lavine’s trade prospects is the only thing that is known as of now.
Latest updates on DeMar DeRozan’s injury
Due to an ankle issue, Chicago star DeMar DeRozan is reportedly listed as doubtful for their Thursday night game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Zach Lavine’s absence means that Chicago will struggle to perform in the next few games.
In the current regular season, Demar DeRozan has played in 18 games thus far. He is shooting 45% from the field and 36.4% from beyond the three-point arc.
The All-Star guard for the Bulls hurt his ankle during their most recent 124-97 loss to the Boston Celtics. He hasn’t returned to the game since. There has been no formal word about DeRozan’s return to the Bucks lineup. The Chicago Bulls are scheduled to play the New Orleans Pelicans after their game against Milwaukee.
