The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly expressed interest in acquiring guard Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls. Reports suggest the Bulls contemplate moving the star in a trade. LeBron James aims to win his fifth NBA title. He will need all the help he can to win another ring. The addition of Zach would provide the Lakers with a star player to complement LeBron James and Anthony Davis, enhancing their offensive threat.

This season, LaVine has averaged 21.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and three assists. LeBron is in the 21st season of his career. He could use someone like LaVine taking on a bigger role. The Lakers aim to play LeBron for around 28 minutes per game. However, it has gone past that limit in recent games. A trade for LaVine could come with a great cost.

Any trade would involve giving up some assets to the Bulls. The Chicago-based team would likely ask for Austin Reaves. The Lakers are unwilling to include guard Austin Reaves in any potential deal with the Bulls. It’s now up to the Los Angeles Lakers to figure out a way to acquire LaVine. Jovan Buha of The Athletic reported this decision. This is what he said:

Jovan Buha said the deal could work with point guard D’Angelo Russell included. The Bulls may not get much for their star due to his injury record and contract, providing the Lakers with leverage to secure a better deal.

Another milestone for LeBron James

During Wednesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings, LeBron James etched his name into NBA history by surpassing Jason Terry on the NBA All-time three-pointers list. James now holds the 8th position on the list led by Steph Curry.

Before the game, James had 2,280 three-pointers, with Jason Terry’s record of 2,282 not looking far away. Now, James has his sights on Vince Carter‘s record of 2,290 three-pointers. However, the all-time record belongs to Steph Curry, who tops the list with 3,452 three-point field goals and counting.

At 38, LeBron James continues to stand strong and serve as a role model for younger players in the league. Up next for James and the Lakers is a challenge against the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon.
