LeBron James has brought up a rather serious issue in terms of the sporting qualities that are given in high school – one of them being the lack of a shot clock in high school basketball. The shot clock we see in the modern NBA, which is heavily relied upon has made the game not only easy to maintain but put a certain discipline, which LeBron believes that kids must grow up to. Via a tweet, he said:
When will the Board of Directors approved a shot clock for Boys & Girls basketball??? We have to grow our kids motors, minds and style of play.
LeBron James, who grew up in the city of Akron, Ohio is very familiar with high school basketball, given the icon has represented St. Vincent–St. Mary High School in basketball. While the likes of having a shot clock back then was quite a hindrance, the game has grown massively making it an even more opportunistic platform with the likes of high schools.
One of the updates, or a lack of it, that LeBron James wants to implement is the shot clock, which has shown his idea to grow and has a concern for the young hoopers, who as he dreamed, would love to make it into the NBA. In response, a range of fans ended up giving their opinions on the matter.

It would be an interesting look as to how the hierarchy will approach this matter given it is said by one of the most popular figures in the basketball world. And with high school basketball being more than an integral part of serving as a path into the NBA, certain actions will be taken with time. As James himself alluded to, the idea is to simply prepare youngsters for the rules they will have to live through, in the NBA.
