Los Angeles Lakers have gotten off to a shaky start in the preseason of 2022. The LA side’s superstar LeBron James talks about new coach Darvin Ham’s ” small-ball ” style, which has been evident in the preseason.

Earlier today, the Lakers played the Minnesota Timberwolves in a preseason game. The match ended 118-113 in favor of the Wolves. Coach Darvin Ham, who replaced Frank Vogel this year has been slowly showing signs of changes and improvements in the Lakers side.

Despite losing the game, one thing evident in Ham’s coaching was his deployment of several guards on the floor. With this “small-ball” style, stars like LeBron James and Anthony Davis picked up 11 and 13 rebounds respectively. Bron, who has played under several coaches in his longstanding career, talks about how he is adapting to the former Milwaukee Bucks coach’s style.

“The only way to gain trust from the coaching staff to play smaller and faster is for us [James and Davis] to rebound,” said James talking in the press conference. “We’re going to play a little bit quicker, we’re going to play smaller, we have to rebound. We have to clean glass,” added James talking to the media.

The Lakers side has some good players that can do their part supporting LeBron and AD in the rebounding area. Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook, despite not having the size of the superstar duo, can help with rebounding on the floor when they play.
