The Los Angeles Lakers’ impressive victory over the Memphis Grizzlies was largely due to the effort of their bench players. Rui Hachimura was the player to watch on this particular night. He went 8 of 10 from the field and hit all four of his 3-pointers en route to a 23-point performance. The Lakers tied an NBA record with 22 3-pointers made in the game. LeBron James was back in uniform, and the defense was outstanding.

It was LeBron James’ celebration in one of Rui making a dunk piercing through the Grizzlies’ defense that caught the attention. After the dunk, LeBron and Anthony Davis did a celebration supporting Rui. AD made a bowing celebration, and LeBron made a critical move.

LeBron James made a samurai fighting stance. It was with the intention of supporting his teammate, but people took that as a disrespect to Rui’s origin where he came from. Although Hachimura was random at the beginning of the season, he concentrated on his aggression when he entered the game. Hachimura aims to return to the level he displayed during the previous postseason.

Hachimura seemed very promising in his last three games, where against the Trail Blazers, he blasted with 19 points, and the Los Angeles Lakers had that game with 116-110. In his game against the Grizzlies, he erupted 23 points, which was his second highest after the game against the Rockets on the 6th of November, where he made 24 points. The team understands the value of Hachimura and he could play an important role.

Fans think it disrespectful what LeBron James did on Rui Hachimura’s Dunk against Grizzlies

Lebron can act hilariously at times. He makes some gesture that sometimes makes everyone laugh and sometimes makes a lot of headlines. It was the same this time during the game against the Grizzlies. Doing such a celebration and mimicking some samurai moves was not the intention of LeBron, but fans felt differently.

The victory was undoubtedly significant for the Lakers, who are now 2-0 in the In-Season Tournament and have improved to 5-0 at home. But, it’s now 5-1 at home following today’s defeat to the Kings. Early in the season, the team appears to be turning a corner, playing better ball, and getting happier times, which LeBron traits to everyone holding each other accountable.
