No two ways in stating that Philadelphia 76ers’ marquee Joel Embiid has been disheartened ever since he lost out the MVP honors to Nikola Jokic, despite emerging as the highest point scorer in the 2021-22 season. After a below-par performance in Game 5 wherein heat brutally beat the Sixers at home, Embiid has started Game 6 by short-handing his own team, at the expense of Danny Green.

While Joel Embiid attacked the paint in the first half, Danny Green was ready under the rim for the rebounds. But the former lost his balance and feel straight onto the knee of his veteran teammate. Who eventually had to be lifted to the locker room, being in evident pain after the collision with Joel Embiid. Lakers star LeBron James watching the action could not help but send his prayers towards his former teammate.

Danny Green fell to the floor immediately and was writhing in pain after Sixers teammate Joel Embiid inadvertently fell on his left knee. Green had to be helped to the locker room and he could not put any weight on the injured knee.

To those who are not aware, Green has started all five games of the Heat series, averaging 9.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steals while also connecting on 2.8 triples per game on a highly-efficient 45.2-percent clip.

Talking about the summary of Sixers vs Heat Game 6 until halftime, Joel Embiid might have led the team with the scoring tally of 14 points, yet he has been nowhere near his best form. The Miami Heat have taken a 1-point lead going into halftime, and has looked dangerous while attacking the paint.

On the other hand, apart from Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and James Harden have managed to score points in double-digits. Whereas there has been no major support from the home bench as there have been only 5 points registered out of the 5 players who have come-in combined.
