“Changed the game forever” LeBron James reflects on Jackie Robinson’s major impact on American sports

LeBron James has always tried his best to bring changes in society for everyone’s good. He has always led the path whenever he felt it was necessary for him to step up for or against something. He has built schools, given back to the society, invested in the community and helped several needy ones. LeBron James has also always been an active participant during every movement he felt it was necessary to stand for. The King was a part of the fight against social justice, racial reforms, and police brutality and has always been promoting the Black Lives Matter movement knowing how important it is and how capable he is to use his platforms correctly.

All these things are facts which reflect who he is and they are surely loud enough to tell that he is more than an athlete. But recently, he made it to the headlines for appreciating another well-known sports personality who was getting the job done even before he was born. He praised Jackie Robinson, a professional Baseball player who was also the first African American to play in the major league and paved the way for others too.

Jackie Robinson walked during his time so African American athletes could run today and he was successful in it. As the color line is broken and now some of the best sports personalities around are from the black community. LeBron James is one of the best examples for it. As of today he’s regarded as the G.O.A.T by many and is also the face of the league having millions of fans around the world.

LeBron James pays tribute to Jackie Robinson

LeBron James was the executive producer of the documentary “After Jackie” which was released on Saturday. King reflecting on Jackie’s greats and journey tweeted a clip from the documentary via his personal Twitter handle and wrote: “Jackie Robinson changed the game ON and OFF the field forever!! He defined what being more than an athlete is about. ??✊??  @uninterrupted @HISTORY #AfterJackie.”

LeBron James gave his respect to Jackie Robinson and also a message to the community via his brand “Uninterrupted” that he really is more than an athlete and how important it is to be one. He really is not just limited to an athlete as he is one of the best sports personalities out there who can be an example for having multiple positive impacts on the society.
