LeBron James is facing it all this season. After the off-season moves made by the Los Angeles Lakers front office, many called them the best setup team for this season. But the season so far has been anything but ideal. Today’s game sent the Lakers back onto a losing record, and James was not happy.

The Atlanta Hawks are having a losing season themselves. So, the Lakers should have taken care of them. However, a second straight double-digit loss did not sit well with the all-time greatest scorer. When reporters caught James in the locker room after the game, the questions were directed at his teammates’ production in these games. James was about to talk about them when another reporter cut him and asked a follow-up question. To this James replied;

I don’t have any message for my teammates… just go out and do your job.

James smiled at the reporter who cut him off. He was appreciative of the reporter. This was because he had seemingly just stopped James from going on a massive rant.

The game against the Hawks was so lopsided that the Lakers never led any quarter. The absence of Anthony Davis did not help matters. However, it was telling that the rest of the team did not pick up the baton. Yes, it was the second of back-to-back games for the Lakers, but that is not an excuse as every team in the NBA has a difficult schedule.

The 39-year-old James is the perfect example of durability, even though he seems utterly frustrated recently. His younger teammates ought to learn from him about managing their bodies. Exhaustion should not hinder them from playing well for their team, as it seemingly did.

Basketball fans were about to see a throwdown from James

Basketball fans are keen-eyed people. But they also have sharp ears. So when James had his interview cut short by that reporter, he ended with a smile saying that he appreciated it, as he was seemingly about to embarrass his teammates, who have not been good enough due to multiple reasons. Basketball fans were left wondering what he would have said.
