LeBron James praises Victory Wembanyama
Fans are already bracing themselves for the potential debut of French basketball prospect, Victor Wembanyama. Lakers legend, LeBron James has also given Wembanyama his cosign which rises the youngster’s stocks to another level.
Victor Wembanyama might have just received the biggest praise in his basketball career. The 7 foot 4 power forward, playing for the Metropolitans 92 has reached the radar of basketball legend, LeBron James. If there is anyone who knows what it is to be in Wembanyama’s shoes right now, it is the Ohio native.
James was in a very similar position when he was coming into the NBA. The French national is currently one of the best European prospects of his generation. The 18-year-old recently made his national television debut on American Soil and caught the eyes of the Lakers superstar.
“Everybody’s been a unicorn over the last few years, but he’s more like an alien,” said James giving the 18-year-old the highest of praise. Wembanyama put on an absolute stunner of a show, scoring 37 points for Metropolitans 92. He also drained seven 3-pointers during his extraordinary display.
“No one has ever seen anyone as tall as he is, but as fluid and as graceful as he is on the floor. His ability to put the ball on the floor, shoot step-back jumpers out of the post, step-back threes, catch-and-shoot threes, and block shots. He’s for sure generational talent and, hopefully, he continues to stay healthy,” added James.
LeBron James is asked if he watched Victor Webanyama play last night, and if so, if he could share his thoughts.
